The cost of registration is $230 per athlete (excludes the $100 family roster bond).

The athlete registration fee includes an insurance levy for accidents, injury and public liability. The insurance is taken out on behalf of all clubs by Athletics West and provides cover for registered athletes participating in an approved event or training activity, coaches, officials and others volunteering, either at official club training or at competition.

Your registration fee covers both Summer (October to March) and Winter (April to August) competitions. You do not need any special equipment for athletics, you just wear your club uniform and trainers. If you choose to compete in Athletics West events, such as state championships, there will be some additional costs and you will require a Southern Districts team singlet. These are available on Saturdays at Ern Clark for those athletes competing.

​If you are unsure if little Athletics is suitable for your child and/or the ability to commit to the sport, we offer a “Come and Try”.  This includes 2 training days and 1 competition day in a consecutive 2-week timeframe.  A form will need to be filled out on the first day of training.

Little Athletics caters for boys and girls between the age of 5yrs and 16yrs as at 31st December.

Age groups are aligned to your year of birth and are automatically allocated when you register. Children must have been born in 2008-2019 inclusive. Age groups are automatically applied when you register in the ResultsHQ system. Your age group is determined by your age at the 31 December. You will need to provide proof of age when you register.

Uniforms

Competition uniform consist of the South Perth Pelicans LAC shirt/singlet and navy-blue shorts/bike shorts.

Prior to competition the athlete will receive their LA registration number and their age number which is attached to their club shirt. This unique registration number is kept by the athlete throughout their entire LA participation.
