Because Little Athletics is a totally voluntary sport, our club cannot operate without the assistance of parents and other adult volunteers each week in fulfilling the many and varied duties required. These include officiating at an event; managing an age group; recording results; working in the canteen; just to name a few. Our club has a parent duty roster in order to share the load. Additional assistance is always required on the club committee and all parents are encouraged to become involved. Little Athletics is one of the few sports where parents can become fully involved in their child’s sporting interests.
On Saturday competition, parents will be rostered on a duty/event every 2-3 weeks. Rosters will be published as soon as available.
If you are unable to fulfil your rostered duty/event, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and inform the roster co-ordinator of the changes.
The $100 bond deposit ensures all rostered duties have been met throughout the season. This bond will be refunded at the end of the season AGM and windup once duties have been met. If you are not eligible to receive a refund due to unfulfilled duties, the bond is donated back to the club.
